A Christmas Concert with The Britten Singers at All Saints Church in Hereford
Our thanks to Bill Sewell and Cafe @ All Saints for providing the venue and rereshments free of charge. All money raised will go to local charities supported by the club. A final total of £200 was raised.

Back to Tesco's Belmont store for our annual collection of foodstuffs for local charities. Shoppers were very generous this year with well over 1000 items donated.

Our meeting this week was at Burghill Golf Club for a putting competition organised by Ernie. On a practice green with and interesting slope and a stiff breeze the competition was keen.
The competition was won by Chris Starnes with Geoff Perry taking the booby prize.

We held our summer barbecue in Dick and Margaret's garden. We were joined by members of the Rotary Club of Knighton & District.
Steak & sausages were expertly charred by Alan despite his wounded hand. The bar was manned by Ernie and Dick, salads provided by various members or wives and not forgetting strawberries from Geoff Perry.
The evening was to raise money for the visit by children from Barrs Court and Black Marston schools to see Santa at Festive Farm.

We went back to The Green Dragon to see how the refurbishment work is progressing. We were welcomed by Managing Director Julian Vaughan who showed us the work that has been done so far in the dining room, ball room and what is to become Offa's Bar. Julian explained that they were doing the work while keeping the hotel open as far as possible. We then had a tour of some of the refurbished bedrooms.
After the visit we moved on to De Koffie Pot at Left Bank for supper.
