The objects of Inner Wheel are
-
To promote true friendship
-
To encourage the ideal of personal service
-
To foster international understanding
Accordingly we have an active social programme; we do a certain amount of fund-raising so that we can support local and other organisations, both here and overseas, either by personal involvement or by charitable donations.
We meet formally once a month, normally on the 4th Wednesday at The Bay Horse Inn, Hereford, for an evening meal and usually have a speaker.
Rotary International Great Britain & Ireland
RIBI supports and work in partnership with a wide range of charities and projects at a local and national level. By combining our skills, time and resources, we are able to successfully deliver local and national campaigns which have a positive impact in our communities.
Rotary International
Rotary International is a world fellowship of business and professional men and women united in the ideal of service.
Internationally, there are more than 25 000 Rotary clubs, with a combined membership of over 1.2million men and women in more than 170 countries and geographical areas.
The object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and in particular, to encourage and foster:
-
The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service.
-
High ethical standards in business and professions; the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations;
-
and the dignifying of each Rotarian's occupation as an opportunity to serve society.
-
The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian's personal, business and community life.
-
The advancement of international understanding, goodwill and peace.
Rotary International (RI) is based in Evanston, Illinois, USA. RIBI is the association of Rotary clubs in Great Britain and Ireland. There are over 1700 Rotary clubs in RIBI, in 29 districts.
